Living by the Jesus' Red Letter Teachings
1 Timothy 2:1-3 (AMP)
“First of all, then, I urge that petitions (specific requests), prayers, intercessions (prayers for others) and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all people, for kings and all who are in [positions of] high authority, so that we may live a peaceful and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. This [kind of praying] is good and acceptable and pleasing in the sight of God our Savior.”
It is appropriate that we have a constitution regarding how our nation is to be governed.
Many regard our Constitution as the finest governing document for a nation of people ever composed.
A constitution is a body of fundamental principles or established precedents according to which a state or other organization is acknowledged to be governed.
More than 40% of our nation's founding documents contain direct or indirect quotes from the Bible.
Jesus gave us His Red Letter Teachings in the Gospels as the constitution of His Kingdom.
In the Sermon on the Mount, He lays out the most superior way to live and interact with others.
Jesus reveals God’s expectations and provisions for us.
All the provisions of God’s Kingdom are at our beckoning command as we totally surrender our hearts and lives to Him.
“We His People” must live by His teachings as we sojourn on Earth.
“We His People” Preamble:
“We His People of the Christian faith in America, in order to form a more perfect unity, establish morality, ensure Christ’s peace, provide for the defense of the gospel, promote the spiritual welfare, and secure the blessing of His Kingdom to ourselves and our prosperity, do hereby ordain and establish this spiritual union of Christ’s followers for the purpose of reclaiming our spiritual heritage in the United States of America.”
In the heart of God was a plan to bring all people together under the banner of His Kingdom.
Ephesians 1:9-10 (AMP)–“He made known to us the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, with regard to the fulfillment of the times (that is, the end of history, the climax of the ages)–to bring all things together in Christ, (both) things in the heavens and things on Earth.”
Ephesians 1:4 (TPT)–“And He chose us to be His very own, joining us to Himself even before He laid the foundation of the Universe.”
*The word “chose” in Greek means “to speak.” He wanted to “speak” to us and through us.
“We His People” are to be “His voice” in the Earth. We must speak “Jesus” with our words and with our lives.
When “We His People” pray and seek His face according to His Word, results will follow.
